$3600 a year with geico but its because I haven't been insured for a couple of years. Hopefully it will drop.

7k is too much, ill go with liability if that was the case =)

$1500/yr with Geico, full coverage and mechanical breakout coverage; I'm 21yr male. That's not with the minimum coverages either. I was getting quotes ranging from $2800-4000/yr with other companies!

Did you ever tell them that you have an EVO and not a lancer ES/OZ? I will have to call them sooner or later to make sure Im insured for a 31k evo and not a ES model.

Seriously, I'd rather ride a bike, take the bus, or carpool if you pay $7000 a year. That's just ridiculous. That's like twice my car payments a year!

Insurance

I live in Chicago and I have GEICO. $1079 for six months. 34 years old, married. A bunch of accidents, all not my fault.

How long have you been with geico if you dont mind me asking? They told me a 5-10% rate decrease after 6 months, and hopefully after i get my alarm, my rate will decrease a bit more. $3600/yr is just too much. oh yeah this is to cover me and my gf

AIG Direct

I followed that AIG link in the #1 post. Looks like they can't quote an Evo on line. All they had was the OZ Rally and the regular Lancer. Anyway, their OZ quote was $80 less than what I'm paying GEICO for my Evo. Who knows what an Evo quote will be...

I've been with GEICO for five years.

I called 800-807-9458 to get the price. The customer service person didn't have the Evo in the database, but I gave her the VIN, price paid, showed her a pic of the car on www.mitsucars.com and from that she gave me the $389 rate for 6 months. Coverage was for 250K/500K with $500 deductible and full glass, rental, and towing.

I had AIG, and though their rates are cheaper than say, Mercury ar ins. (who I have now), they are AWFULL to deal with when you need them. never called back, never wanted to take the time to deal with me or my accident (and i had good coverage!!). I finally got a lawyer to handle it and even he said that they would take a week to call him back no matter how often he called.

my opinion: They suck ***
