Crack in my tranny

Question Crack in my tranny

I have a little crack in my tranny. Any suggestions on how i could fix it without replacing.. It leaks a little oil..

What part of the tranny (which case)? Any decent welder experienced w/ a TIG can fix it. If it's not an automotive shop experienced w/ disassembling a trans you'll have to get that done for them. If you weren't across the country I'd say bring it to the shop and we'd fix it for you....unless you want to ship it.

had the same thing happen to me a few years back...only way to fix this is if you had a person who welds aluminum which i hear isnt the typical type of welding...i had mine temporarly sealed and guess what, it leaked..bad to the point it had to be replaced becuz it was leaking oil like crazy. huge headache. a new case from the deale cost me $600

Welding aluminum = TIG
