I'm confused? They are BOTH EVO SEATS...

 

I like both styles. The seats in my VIII matches the BBY color so I'm ok.

I have no regrets at all, and I am much happier with the car....

If I had cloth, i Definitely would try and find some 9 seats. It looks 100x better. The stock 8 seats are cheesey and ugly.

 

so an evo 8 seat functions better then a 9 seat?

 

should have given us these seats starting with the 03 model IMHO

Not only do they look better they "feel" better when I run my hands across the fabric, plus it makes the EVO interior look and feel "more expensive"

 

Theres a lot of things Mitsu should have done lol, but yeah I agree, the seats were a HUGE upgrade to the nonSSL EVOs. They are more functional and 100x better looking. cant ask for more!

 

LOL true, abouty asking for more, I almost got greedy and decided to try to look for someone who was willing to sell their SE seats with the red stitching, but gave up since I know it took me almost forever to find a mint set of 9 non-leather, non-ssl seats....

 

^ I remember a guy on here selling his IX SE seats for stock ones + money...

 

i have an 03 W the blue cloth, my girl upgraded her MR with sparco's so i came up on some new leather seats.

i was all happy after installing them but that only lasted about a week before i upgraded to an aftermarket seat as well. the leather & suede seats don't hold you nearly as good as the blue cloth does

no doubt the leather 9 seats look better, but there is a trade off


the leather seats do make a very comfortable office chair though!
