What would be considered a "cost efective" price? I thought 300.00 shipped for 20+whp is quite cost effective. The un-modded housings are 100+ then materials, a couple hours of labor, and shipping fees add up.

20+whp? Is that proven? Sounds like a bit much. Is that 20+ over the closed aftermarket o2 housing? Or the VTA o2 housing over the stock one?

I was referring to the ebay housing + the VTA mod over a stock cast housing. Buschur dynoed 14whp with just the housing and Al dynoed one that was VTA modded and it picked up and additional 14whp. There is local guy to me who is testing one of these and based on his datalogs it's showing a 20hp gain over just the e-bay housing itself, but that has yet to be quantified on a dyno.

Ok, that makes much more sense. I thought you ment just making the o2 hosuing VTA will yield you 20+ which is hard to believe. I'm addicted to scaring drunk people downtown at 2am when bars let out in the Mirage, and I'm selling my Mirage to my bro-in-law soon. So I need VTA wastegate in the Evo

I plan on making a bumper dump outlet like this on my Evo. This is my Mirage by the way

Yes, I'm tuning a IX with the Morgan dump and the power gains are there. I've had some issues scheduling with the vehicle's owner so i haven't completely finished the tune with the dump. Initial results show definite power increases throughout the rev band and less boost taper at redline. This specific car is flowing about 1 lb/min more than the unmodded SS O2 housing.

I beat you to it. Here's mine. I have since cut it flush with the bumper and it looks much better.

It 's honestly a huge PITA! Clearance is minimal all around the pipe and just getting it out of the bumper cover is a feat in itself. There is only a small area in the bumper suitable to exit. It will deafen people in other vehicle on the pass. side at WOT. It's fun when dudes come along and harrass me on that side of the car.

Norris Designs has a "screamer pipe" but it requires a 44mm Tial external wastegate & the ND T3 manifold:

I believe that's Shearer Fabrications manifold and "screamer" pipe. That's a win win for Norris Designs. They get an outstanding product and because of the weak dollar they get it at made in china prices.
