It is time......

well it is time to part with the evo ...its been a good 2 1/2 years with it.I started out with exhaust, intake, intercooler.then as the year went by i went cams,GT35R,AEM EMS,etc. I had fun with it and i never had a bad day with it.never a blown tire, never a oil leak, never a blown turbo, never over heating, nothing.it is a great car but its time to move on.Im getting older and i dont like to be thought of as a "punk kid" in his race car.not saying all evo owners are that but its what you get from others, cops, etc.also may have a kid on the way and even though i have the BMW X3 for that, well i just dont want to put a baby in a very loud evo.

So ive been doing some looking around.

BMW 335i Coupe
Infiniti M35
Mercedes C350
Acura TL
IS 250/350
Audi A4 sedan

i just want something simple.something to just put a nice drop, tint and nice wheels.done!the M35 i have been approved and can pick up if i like, same with the TL,and same with the Audi.BMW is approved as well but not sure if they will take a evo as trade in. Also actually the TL is very nice,i was impressed. The only exception was its an "acura" and ive seen some of them nice, and some of them built towards the import scene.so dont want that stereotype, but the car impressed me.

someday ill get another evo possibly who knows.i know i will miss it for sure.anyone thinking of going 35R i suggest it.dont go anything else unless you want like 700-900+awhp of course.but for a good daily driver, nice spool go 35R.

well il be on and off the forum just checking whats going on.But i should have my new car in about 2-3 weeks.i have to strip my car and replace back to stock etc etc..

ill let you guys know what i went with

You ever look at the RL? Asking because the RL is more in the M category than the TL. Of course, the RL is less aggressive than both the TL and the M, but not sure what you're after.

We almost got an M - even got the dealer to give it to us for the weekend but in the end my wife felt it was too upscale for her and the ankle-biters (she is a redneck at heart, I guess). I personally liked it a lot.

The 335i is getting good looks and it sounds like there is already a decent aftermarket community supporting it. I have never heard of a dealer not taking a trade-in, short of Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc. They have ties to other dealerships that they can trade with.

Anyway, best of luck!

Go with the 335i. I have been considering selling my car & getting the new 3-series or a H2.

my kids love my evo!!!! i have a 1 year old girl and a 3 year old girl. the one year old hardly ever cries in it because of the constant sound and the 3 year old sits in the back seat every once in a while goes vrrrrooommm psshhh psshhh ... haha it is great. every seen the VW commercial with the baby in the back seat when the rpms drop the baby cries... that isn't that far from the truth with a colicky baby...

my $0.02...

I don't know about he A4, the backseat isnt big enough for someone in there. I would go with the BMW or Lexus.

the part out is complete..sold my whole set up in about a day.

and i understand little kids love evos with the cool pssh sound,lol...but a open wg dump and loud exhaust is too much.,

the baby isnt why im selling.its gone through my head a lot and finally am going to do it.

going to take out inj, turbo kit, ems, piping, intercooler today and replace with stock.

i still have yet to work a deal with lexus.i went there the other nite and basically rushed me out b/c it was 815pm and they said they close at 9pm but really closed at 8.so i wasnt treated very well.so i still have to actually sit down and talk about trade in/cash down etc

Take a look at the all-new C-class. It's supposed to be a much better machine than the previous model. At least worth a look.

The new Caddy CTS looks pretty mean too.
