Selling my 500awph VIII.. Help with price

Hey all,

I currently have my Evo for sale on eBay, and I am wondering as to why no one has excatly bought it? I figure that my price is definitely in range for where it should be with over $15,000+ in mods, and a low mileage. Here is the link so you can read it all, as I am sure you all do not want me to post it =)

not sure why noones bid and I cant help you much with the price..I would think you could get more with the amount of mods youve put in it

good luck with the sale

if i had to take a stab at this... i'd say that sometime having TOO MANY mods can be a turn-off to a prospective buyer.... especially at a pricepoint of +20k

Its much easier to be skeptical about a car thats been heavily modified like yours and listed for sale. Even though you and I might think otherwise, when I look for a used car, unless i have intimate knowledge of your car, Id rather look for something stock and mod it myself so I know exactly whats on the car, and how it was put on.

Have you considered parting out and turning to stock? maybe that would net you more cash in the bigger picture.

yea i agree with antics22...maybe you should consider parting out?

or depending on what your situation is...maybe you could part out for the cash you need...AND keep the Evo...then when you are able to buy parts again, you can in a way start another project with the same Evo

same here, i agree with antic22. I think it could have help if you have some work on the body too and not leave it stock. some other car i saw that is for sale with about the same hp that you have but had some cf stuff in the body actually sells for more than what your asking for. i think your in the right price range, just waiting for the right buyer. there's a seat for every @$$!

i actually got my Evo off Ebay...an older guy (from what the dealership told me he was in his 60's) traded it in for a fully decked out Mini Cooper

buying a car on ebay? crazy... why would you make a commitment to buy something w/out even see it or test drive it? especially an 500 whp evo, a lot of evo like that have CEL.

Wow, that is a killer deal, can't believe its not gone yet. Car looks very cleanly built, good luck with the sale. If my car was sold and it was after winter time, I would be very interested.

it's a dealership, they'll tell you anything

but yeah, mine said the same thing. "older gentleman wanted a fun car that could fit his family, but ended up not liking it and trading it in for an suv." not sure i believe a word of that but the car was and still is awesome and without a problem
