I had the NLTS mod on my Evo and had it taken off the next flash. The engine rocks so bad that it cuts the injectors off if you dont have the clutch switch set properly. Just about everyone I know that did the NLTS had to readjust their clutch switch. I felt that I could shift almost as good without it, but I can clearly understand why (if it worked correctly--for me) would be a great mod for drag racing, cause it keeps the boost while you shift. I will eventually have it added back to my ecu when I can get to adjusting the cultch switch , but until then stay away from it. Your car will bog and go into a very lean state. Word of advice from experience.....but Tephra does know his stuff....

Thats what I was concerned with....with a standard syncro, non sequential tranny its a hard thing to accomplish, as positive engagement is a finite line away from being good versus crappy.

The motorcycles were easy, as a matter of fact ,I used an air shifter for a few passes and all I did was hit a switch. it cut the timing for 15-30milliseconds and layed down the next gear.

I dont suspect its that simple with the Evo.

It deosnt hurt the tranny, it drops the revs down however many 100's you want to hold boost. The clutch switch is under the dash, its a pain to get to maybe Ill do it tomorrow. With adjusting the clutch switch it is said that then it works pefectly. If I have time tomorrow I'll take pics. Look in the ECU flash forum, it is mentioned there many times, it doesn't hurt the tranny at all, but you will have to adjust that switch.

I tried the NLTS patch a couple of times the other day. It reacted in two different ways.

1st. The car acted like the video that was posted. The exhaust went 'pop pop pop' like anti-lag would... and boost was maintained great.

2nd. I short shifted at 6700rpm and the rpms just fell down as if I put the car in neutral but boost still felt fully spooled.

I ran Evoscan on both runs. The 1st run got a 17 count of knock at 7500rpm. It was my first pull with NLTS so I was a little confused by not lifting to shift.. and missed shifting at 7000, and instead hit 7900rpm, im guessing by revving on accident.

The 2nd run I got 0 counts of knock.
