GSR>RS?? or RS>GSR.....

I have an 03 GSR. I got it in a minor accident but I bought the car with the intention for racing and to get from point A to point B. Basically I wanted a car I could take to a track day and still take it back and forth 5 miles to work everyday. Kind of a goal of mine. I did it in my porsche, and well my srt never really got to that stage in the game before I had "catastrophic failure" to the whole engine bay (not a fire lol).. I refuse to trailer a car that is able to be drivin on the streets Not saying your wrong for trailering your car by any means, I just won't do it.

SO, seeing as it has been in an accident that required a new radiator support (that's the ONLY thing that kills me and it's so minor to fix) I was thinkin about trading my car in for an evo RS. I havn't had the opportunity to race the evo yet seeing as my liscence was suspended alllll throughout the season.

has anyone ever ran an RS vs a GSR on the track? handeling differnces? does the RS have more agility?? brake better?? anything better on the RS?? I havn't drivin EITHER on the track so maybe before I do I could get some opinions.....

my 03 has no sunroof or any of that stuff so I guess it's as close to an RS you can get without loosing some conforts of driving back and forth to work such as radio and what not. So would it REALLLLY be worth it for me to get an RS or no?

you will find more differences, when they made them. So its not that easy. Example 03 RS vs 06 GSR. or 03 RS 06 RS.
and no GSR in the usa.

well I have a regular 03 evo... I wanna get an evo 8 RS if possible. I just don't know if it would be worth it if I already have a pretty bare evo already. When I was on the hunt for evo's, I wanted anything as close to an RS as possible without it being an RS but I think the slight differnences would contribute to a better track car. I just don't know because I havn't had the chance to run EITHER models. I wasn't able to hit the track once this year

Any RS will handle a great deal better than your 03 since the first year the RS was in the states was 04 and it came with a front LSD (No ACD).

05 models all came through with ACD and a front LSD no matter with model you purchesed. My GF's 04 RS handles considerably better than my open diff 03 and mine is on full coilovers to be honest her car also brakes considerably better with no ABS. Plus the RS is a few hundred pounds lighter than the GSR model.

I love her RS as a DD its no different than the GSR. I installed a stero system and Power door locks in her car. Power windows were always somthing that end up breaking anyway LOL
