I think knowing why the car was lemon lawed would make it easier to sell. Cars dont get lemon lawed for something stupid like a broken radio, it is usually something major that can never be fixed right.

Not exactly the case. If you are the origional owner of the car and have had the car back for the same warrenty claim 3 times the car can be considered for a lemon law claim. Most dealerships will buy that car back and save themselves the hassle in hopes to put you right into another car.

You would be suprised as to what some cars have been Lemon Lawed for. Yes Radio issues

True that. My SVT Focus was going to be lemoned with a leaking sunroof. I got frustrated and traded in quickly for my Evo. The Evo happened to be the OP's first one which was very well maintained, and I beat on it everyday for over 2 years. I wish I still had it too Scott! ..lol

<------- I have now downgraded in performance, but am happy driving a brand new car.

Scott, you're going to be looking at anywhere from 10-12k if you really want to unload it. Wholesale book on the car is about 16k, with a retail of about 18-19k, but that's without that blemish on it's record. As soon as someone sees that lemon law AND the fact that they'll be the 4th owner (which makes them think the problem never got resolved no matter how well you took care of it.) You're really going to have to drop your price to get rid of it.

Good luck man, seriously.

Well, I got married. Need I say more?? Just kidding. We loved the car, but it needed a new clutch, and it just wasn't the image we wanted anymore. Being the only Evo in town, we got way too much attention in it. The Speed 3 blends in (silver) so good and fits the purpose of a daily driver much better. Plus, I'm pretty impressed with the power it has with just a cai. It almost feels as fast as my Evo......uh in straight line, and uh......from a roll.

This whole ordeal really sucks scott. This is probaly one of the cleanest evos ive ever seen in my life. Scott makes fun of me for having like a backpack and a pair of shoes in my back seat when he sees me. I mean the car is in PERFECT shape. I would try to persue the people who sold it to you man because thats bs.

45K miles and a 03, I'd give you 10K the most.

15 or 16k would be much more reasonable price and even at that price i still personally wouldn't get a car with that kind of blemish on the record

I wouldn't buy it at all seeing theres many other evos out there. Having that title would make me to paranoid. No to mention if ever wanted to sell it the resale value would be horrible.

How could you all say that you would never buy this car no matter what?

Explain this to me i don't understand.

I would give him 10K right now and i didn't even look at the pictures of it. You could part the car out. You could turn it into a rally car, all out drag car, or timeattack car, then who cares if its a lemon. Hell DD and put 100K miles on it beat it who cares.

Now i am not saying to do this or that i would, but i could place a price on the car even if it was only a couple grand. When you pull up in a great looking evo do people ask you "Hey is that a lemon car?" NO They don't know that you only paid like 10K for it or whatever it might be.
