hey guys i bought my evo 8 mr about a month ago. I'm having a problem when i fill gas. I shut the car off and fill the tank make sure the knob is tighten all the way. When i start the car most of the time it starts and dies. Sometimes it revs too about 2000rpms and back down to 1500 and it keeps doing that. I shut the car off and start back again and then its fine. Does anyone have any idea wat could be the problem.

 

Does your idle bounce around like between 300-800 revs? Or does it just die as soon as you crank over?

 

it bounes for like 2 seconds and dies. I had a scanner put on the car and some kinda purge reading came up. I have no idea wat that is about i also think an evaporation ready also came up.
