Cold Weather gains me 7whp (dyno pic included)
3 months after my summer tune, I retune my car and lower my boost for the colder weather (12 degree drop). After a few pulls, I settle in on a retune I'm happy with, same AFR as the summer tune and I see 7whp gain. (this DLL dyno run was one of the lower powered logs too since I disregarded some hero runs). They were both logged with EvoScan and dyno-analyzed on Data Log Lab to be consistent.
Mods are:
QTP cutout downpipe
K&N air filter panel drop-in
boost @ 21psi
self-tune using 11.5 AFR, tapering to 11.3 at redline
Summer tune
78 degrees f outside
283hp, 272lb/ft torque
vs Winter tune
66 degrees
290hp, 272lb/ft torque
I'll be getting some GSC S1 cams and a Walbro 255 fuel pump in the next couple weeks. I'll follow up on what kind of gains I get from them.
