gauges

I just wanted to get some opinions on the stewart warner gauges. I am really thinking about getting them in the next week or so for 2 reasons: 1 I really like the way they look, they are simple and clean and very good looking IMO; 2 I dont really have the cash to be spending on Defi and stuff...anyone used these? are they very accurate and worth it?

I have a SW oil pressure and boost gauge. I havent tested the oil pressure gauge. I did with the boost gauge. My SW gauge reads identical to my jdm map and ebc. If you do get the SW get the red led with them. It matches your stock lighting perfect
I still think its a gauge for gauge. Meaning I have seen $300 defi be off and dead on, Same as a $50 autometer.

I am happy with my SW gauges mines is dead on and thats what I need out of a gauge

I know the Defi's are bad-a$$, but at the same time, it's a little too "flashy" for me. As for the Stewart Warner gauges, I want to get the black face gauges with the red led for the oil pressure and a white one for the boost ( I have the trustz gauge overlayss--FTW!)

SW makes great products...their gauges extend well past automobile applications (marine/aeronautics/etc)

I purchased mine from 42draftdesigns.com

if you search my name I have a BRAND NEW SW oil temp and egt gauge for sale at great prices

I run a Prosport boost gauge right now. It would look really good in an Evo. However, after having it for just 3 weeks..it has become very noisy. The motor is loud and the peak button rattles bad. Wish I still had my Defi.

www.42draftdesigns.com is where the SW gauges come from...I just like em cuz they are simple and clean, look very good, and are cost efficient. I have heard quite a few people having problems with the prosports, although i do like the way they look. I would love to have some Defi, but they just cost way too much..im on a military salary lol...

I have 3 SW black face gauges with red LED's in a Gruppe-S panel and I get compliments all the time. they look great and at the price they can't be beat for accuracy. Hands down the best economy gauge out there, don't pay inflated prices just for a name.

I'd personally take SW over Defi for accuracy. I've simply heard too many complaints of Defi gauges being a bit off. That's just not acceptable for the money people shell out for Defis.

i'm a sucker for the Defi's myself... probably the best looking ones in my opinion, i just wish they weren't 200 bucks a pop + 100 bucks for the control unit.
