Strange problem - help me diagnose..

I get into the car tonight (IX MR) and turn on the HIDs which flicker on and die immediately. I thought it was a fluke as it never happened before, so I roll the switch and turn them back on, they work fine. The first light I come to I hit the right blinker and they die again!! So the entire way home I don't use the blinkers (would be funny if it turned off on the interstate) and once I got to my garage I played around with it some more. Out of about 20 times using the blinker the headlights turned off twice. When the HIDs turn off all other power is fine, interior lighting, stereo etc...

Given that the blinker switch is the same as where you turn the headlights on I'm thinking there could be something wrong with the switch, like a contact issue?

I do have a pretty high-end alarm and stereo system installed, does anyone think something could not be grounded?

Thanks for any input, I'm hoping to avoid going to the dealership.
