send it to buschur..... I just had one ported (no coating) the turn around was fast, with shipping out and back it was like 3 days I think. Call and talk to them and see what there turn around time would be.

The price was great too

It prob wont make more power per say, but it will spool up the quickest I believe. The tubular will def flow more up top and make the most overall power and best exhaust flow.

I'm well aware that I could've installed a "Turd cover", but chose not to. Cast manifolds are inferior in design compared to a properly built tubular header/manifold, and the MR header is fairly well designed for the money. I had a dyno sheet from the shop I've been using showing the difference from adding just the MR header, I believe it was 17 ft lbs & 21 hp, the tq occurred in the lower & mid-range rpms too. If I'm correct, the ported turd didn't produce anywhere near that amount. I'm very happy with my MR header and would recommend it. For those who are more concerned with the possibility of a crack, stick w/ the turd.
PS,
It sounds better too, very noticeable.

As far as power goes I am not sure but coming from dsm world, cast iron manifolds do crack, how soon I am not sure but on my 2g is cranked and all of my friends 1g, I geuss give it some time. And if you do port it, there is more chance for craking. In my opinion it is cheaper to port it so I would go that routh and then ceramic coat it. DSMs made a lot of power with ported manifolds so I dont think Evo would be different.
