Probably some idiot kid who thought it would be cool to steal an emblem.Could of been worse.

Sorry that that happened, but hey it could have been much worse.
I like to look at the + sides off life. Like I was rallying my car a wile ago jumped and broke my tie rod and ripped off my front splitter. But I could have rolled my car or hit a tree or did even more damage.
At least they did it cleanly and they didn't scrach the hell out of it or keyed your car.

 

Make sure it wasn't one of your family members with ricey mind. 'Hey I thought you'd like that clean look!'

I really doubt someone stealing a badge would take time to make sure the paint on the trunk does not get damaged, it is just too much risk for the reward they get.

I was wrong. They did mess up the paint taking it off. I need a new emblem to cover the damage.

If not, you might want to try getting fingerprints around the trunk area. For a badge, I doubt they'd have glove prepared to steal.
