Question Concerning 5micron Copper Filter for Catch Can

Ok so my friend and I are going with the home made Campbell Hausfield catch cans. At home depot last night they didnt have any campbell hausfield air filters in stock so we went with the Husky brand. Im pretty sure in the make your own catch can post that the OP had paper filters in his air filter so he replaced it with a clear 5" tube filled with S.S. wool. These filters came with a nice 5 micron copper filter. Do you think this would be ok to use as a condenser ? If anything itll be a good experiment to let people know if it works or not i guess. Just looking for some input from someone knowledgeable than me.
