For all intents and purposes, gauges are the single most important thing when it comes to tuning a car.

Say you buy a cheap, leaky boost gauge....you turn up your BC to what an appropriate level might be and wind up in trouble because of a cheap POS gauge.

Even though autometer is actually pretty good-I had a problem where it was leaking inside the gauge, over time. It registered 2 psi lower than I thought....I'd actually detotate hard under load and found out that was it.

Buy good gauges, save the money and spend it right.

Stewart Warners are inexpensive, look good, and have had their accuracy proven time and time again. I'd put mine up against a Defi any day

Thanks

Thanks you all for responding back to my post. Hey Josh, if you can email me some of the pic of your Evil gauges in your Evol, that'll be great. I'm still undecided as to which to go for now because I'm waiting until next summer to get them anyway. But then again, thanks for your inputs.

Not sure what you guys are talking about... Autometer is not close to be cheap. I have a full set of Defi in my EVO because they looks good, but as far a functions... autometer is what everybody use on the track and they have the widest range of gauges avilible. Bump for auto meter...

Send me your email address. I only have 1 or 2 pics of them in the daytime so they won't look as nice. Plus my car is in the shop until Xmas so I can't just run out and take some night shots sorry bro. Thats what happens when you let idiots drive you get rear ended at 60 mph.

Check out Prosport if you're looking for something inexpensive but looks good and works well.

That is the problem with people these days, they think if it cost more it must be better. No wonder why theres so many millionairs, LOL
Dude, I will put money on a bet that my $23.00 mechanical boost gauge reads the same as your fancy $300 light show one!!!
