Headlight replacement question

Hey Guys,

I recently found out my left headlight is out (HID Bulb) where do i find a replacement and does anyone have any pricing?? Im not too sure who and where i can buy either a bulb or if its a whole HID unit to replace it. Sorry, im just not too farmiliar with the HID's and was looking for some help. Thanks so much.

having the same exact problem, left hid fading, aftermarket tho. anyone know if bumper removal is necassary?

Look at the headlight lens.There should be something that says D2S.That should be the type of bulb that EVO's use for the headlight bulb.You can try www.sylvania.com
They should have the type of bulbs the EVO uses listed from the corner light bulbs to the reverse bulbs.

one of my HID units went bad. It went from a clean blue light and faded to pink before it got dimmer and dimmer. It wasn't the bulb but the HID unit. Luckily I was under warranty. Yes, bumper removal is necessary to access the HID module. But that's the good news, the module itself is over $300 plus labor.

Any H2S bulb will work...its a standard size HID bulb for a projector lens. You can probably find aftermarket for cheaper assuming the ballast isn't bad.

make sure you replace them in pairs..as hids get older they color change..if you only get one new one the colors wont match...you have to take off the bumper..after that its straight foward..well taking out the headlight there should be 3 bolts...mitsubishi engineered these headlights soo retarded
