Why buy any of those for well over 100, when you can get the Authority shifter with a counterweight knob for 60 bucks?

I had the cheap Megan that also fits the 3G eclipse (had it on my Eclipse), It was a great shifter for the money and I would have it in my Evo except my Evo is a 6 speed and that shifter wont fit it. It is a knock off of the B&M.

works makes a nice short shifter and they make it easy to install by providing a new retainer on the shifter.

Its great and as smooth as the stocker because its not a huge reduction 35%....

I just installed the Perrin since the Works unit was out of stock. I love it...it's adjustable and very short. Yes, it's stiffer but not that bad. I liked the fact that Perrin's was a bit shorter than Works and adjustable. Works unit looked nice since it was a solid shaft and came with the plastic piece (no cutting stock shifter).

You can't lose with either of those two.

Well after using both the B&M Short Shifter Kit and the Authority Short Shifter Kit, I can tell you with out a doubt, "The Authority Short Shifter Kit" is the "Best Bang for the Buck"!!!

B&M Short Throw Shifter Non Adjustable - Cost $140.00.

The Kit includes detailed instructions. WOW "detailed instructions"

Now add 8pc Stiff Shifter Bushings Kit - Cost $28.00.

Now add 2pc Under-hood Stiff Bushings Kit - Cost $27.00.

Your going to need an OEM EVO Shifter Retainer - Cost $16.00. Well you can re-use the stock one if you cut the Stock Shifter in half.

I almost forgot, NO B&M Shift Knob! But thats OK, you can use your Stock Knob. You could spend $20.00 to $130.00 on a nice counter weighted Shift Knob.

Authority Short Shifter Kit - Cost $110.00

The Kit includes "A Nice" counter weighted Shift Knob, shifter retainer, 2pc under hood bushings, and the 8pc in car shifter bushings.

I will be posting up some install pictures in the next few weeks...
