broken bov?

I'm using the stock BOV on 24 psi (i kno im a cheap ***) and lately, I can't boost over 5psi without hearing a mass air leak comming from the car, it also feels like I have a blown coupler when I go above 5psi. I've checked all vaccum lines and couplers upper/lower and inside the engine bay, everything is sealed. I was recently tuned @ 25psi for my setup and haven't had a problem going on 2 months. But when I was driving (radio on so I didn't hear anything pop) I was comming out of a turn and got on it, and it felt like there was no coupler. Couldn't boost over 5psi, steadily. If I floor the damn thing regardless of what happens, the boost creeps up, but car doesn't go anywhere.

Since the stock BOV looks in working condition, but Im no mechanic and can't take it a part and actually know if it is broken, I'd say its safe to assume this is the problem?

IX bov guess i'll list the mods incase it helps anyone, injen intake lower/upper IC pipes, espilier exhaust + testpipe, hallman pro mbc tuned 100oct

It acts exactly as if theres a blown coupler in the way it responds to acceleration. Except, its easy to drive without going over 5 psi, which is unlike a blown coupler. Which leads me to believe the BOV is bad.

Boost leak tester with soapy water and you will find it. A good freind of mine had all kinds of problems with his Injen pipes, I would check them first.

Sounds like a boost leak from piping.

Check where the piping connects to the fuel intake. I had problems there for a while.

If you are running the stock clamps go ahead and ditch them for T clamps, if not use a 10mm socket on them and not a screwdriver and coat the sealing surface with hairspray.

Hairspray works great. I kept blowing the throttle body coupler on my Mirage. Used some hairspray and double clamped it. Hasn't blown since
