FINALLY..the modding begins..

I thought i would have to wait awhile, but,i was wrong..Just ordered a 3 inch TBE..Should also be ordering my intake, and then setting an appointment for a tune this week..I cant wait..I am hoping for around 300-310..With a 9,i believe that my goals are very attainable..Anything over that is just a plus..My next mods are going to be a MBC,Fuelpump,licp..Anyways,just thought i would post..Cant wait..Justin

dont take it to stage6 if you want to get those numbers. They have an outdated dyno dynamics.. i had TBE, electronic boost controller, 02 housing, front mount, intake, HKS 272 camshafts, and john with jestr tuning himself was tuning on the dyno. It made 312 on that dyno but i was beating cars that made 340 on other dynos

I dont know what your talking about. All I had done to my car when I put the numbers in my sig down were a tbe mbc set at only 21.5 psi and a walbro fuel pump. This was on a dynojet to on an extremely humid day.

To the orginal poster leave the stock intake alone. First mods should be tbe mbc and a fuel pump. Tuned and youll easily will be over 300awhp.

I thought that most people spoke badly against manual boost controllers. Would it be better to just go ahead and save for an electronic boost controller?

I used an MBC for a while, i went to an electronic one cuz i was tired of getting out of my car to adjust the boost... other than that MBCs work great i know ALOT of evo drivers that use them ... in fact probly more use manuals than not. i use the AEM TRU boost and love it but my hallman still functioned very well

I wasnt meaning an open filter intake..I am going to just get a drop-in..I thought that i didnt need a tune for just a replacement filter..I guess i was wrong..So, i'll get the MBC first..I am getting a brand new walbro fuel pump off friend here in town with an evo..He dicided to just keep his car the way it is..So, he is selling it to me really cheap..Its brand new..Hey Joe,whats up its Justin..Finally tlked the wife into a few parts for the car..I am thinking of getting Josh to just road tune the car..Until i can get some bills squared away, and get dyno tuned..I wasnt gonna go to Stage 6..I was thinking of going to Orlando to TTP,or Doug from TopSpeed is coming to Subaru of Jax in January..Either way,i am thinking my goals are easy to achieve..And it'll keep me happy for a little while..Justin

So you now like your electronic one better? I need more information on the contrast on the two but i can't find what i want. I don't know much about tuning besides imputing af ratios. what could i do with a manual boost controller and what would persuade me to get an ebc rather than a mbc? Thanks
