Okay, I did a search and I still have yet to find a clear answer. My car sustained some front end damage and I'm choosing to have an SE lip put on instead of the regular IX lip. I'm aware that there are extra brackets needed on each side that are about $30, and that's generally all I see people mentioning, but the guy at the body shop ordered another $90 worth of parts just in case they are needed to attach the SE lip. If not, he'll return 'em and I don't need to worry.

So my question is, are only the two extra brackets ($30 per side) needed to install the SE lip on a regular IX?

 

To truely make it work you need 3 parts. There is an insert in the bottom of the lip you need as well.

TJ: Russell I got your package now just trying to source a box to send the lip back in.

 

I will be putting the SE lip on my IX as well. I am just curious as to what the 2 extra brackets are for. And that insert, is it the same as on the stock IX lip? Everything is still on my lip, it's just really scraped up. Any additional info on those 3 parts would be great. Thanks
