Type RS Adjustment

Put a GReddy Type RS on last night with recirculation (I know I took off the JDM that comes on the IX) and it seemed to work fine regardless of where I set the adjustment screw. How do I know if I am getting surge? From the factory it comes on the softest setting. Do I leave the screw at the softest setting, or how do I adjust it to work properly?
Save your its a waste of money comments.

do you have the high boost spring in it. i adjust mine as tight as possible without fluttering under my max boost.

I have not idea what spring is in it.

OK so what I should do to adjust it is continue to turn it toward hard until it flutters under max boost and then turn it back a little?

i would start about full tight, then loosen about 4 full turns out. and go quarter turn up or down until flutter is in acceptable frequency. dont want too loose or too tight.

What is considered acceptable frequency? Full boost without any flutter? Right now I get flutterwhen I let off at small amounts of boost. I have no idea what to listen for and when.
