Wow lot of work, but glad when finished

Well it's come time to put all the pieces to the puzzle together. 15mos of buying parts has come down to two weeks of putting it all together. This past week I've; Replaced the stock intercooler with an XS Engineering FMIC, new upper and lower i/c piping, HKS RS Intake, HKS SSQV BOV, and HKS Ti-C tbe exhaust. Took out the factory stereo and started integrating the new stereo. MB Quarts all the way around and Kicker L7s w/ Kicker 1500d, 650d amps in the back. Should get manifold back next week from being ported.

On my to do list for the weekend.

Replace spark plug wires
Replace spark plugs
Replace Evo 8 turbo with Evo 9 turbo
Short Throw shifter
Brake pads and stainless steel brake lines
Buy new rubber for new rims
Tidy up the interior
Sell all my stock parts!!!!!!

Well all wish me luck in tryin to get this project done by next week to hopefully get tuned here soon. I'll be sure to post up pix of my progress.
Oh and Happy Holidays!!!

Alot of people complain about that BOV but not exactly sure other than the fact that it's a "Vent To Atmosphere" and your stock one is a Recirculating one which is what you need with the stock MAF. If you're just looking for sound then don't put it on. The stock BOV is loud with the HKS RS Intake.

Lots of reasons why the SSQV does not work with the MAF and ECU. It also does not open at idle (which our cars need) so it can cause problems there.

Search: VTA, SSQV

Sell it - get an IX (or APS or Forge RS...)

Mani with PPI?

Rest of the mod list? Where is the MBC and fuel pump?

I'm guessing you're trying to point out that the HKS Filters suck, well if he's smart enough He'll change that out like I did. Bought the intake used w/out filter and installed my own.

By suck you mean everything damn thing in the air into the motor - then yes, that is what Im after.

But good luck with the installs. DO a boost leak test when your all done.

Mongo - the HKS BOV not recommended to use on our cars unless you have a MAP setup. Its ricy because it sounds like crap to most of our ears. That high pitched sound is not cool (my .02). If its sound your after - here is my Forge RS with cone intake:
