Hey guys! Happy holidays... Im looking into possibly putting just a catless downpipe on when I get my evo. A turboback will be too loud for my needs right now.. If its not too much to ask... Can you guys post up some videos or sound clips of your stock exhaust setup with JUST a dp? Thanks a bunch...

 

1. Evos don't have DP with Cats...youve been on subaru forums too much. lol
2. putting a DP on still poses a bottle neck problem. Get a catback that is quieter and work your way forward

 

just buy a cat back exhaust....deep tone but still qeuit...i have the DC spoorts cat back on my car wen i first got it and it sounds nice..quiet and smooth..now i have a catless down pipe and the catback system and its rele loud lol

go DC sports catback...ull love it

 

thanks... yea lol. I did have an sti. So used to that setup.. I gotta read up more on the stock exhaust setup for the evos.. ill check the FAQ newb section

 

evos are no where near as loud as stis with catless exhausts

I owned both

invidia n1 race on my sti

megan dp/tp/turboxs catback - full catless bullet muffler buschur tbe on my evo

sti way louder than either evo set up

 

yeah.. agreed. However my friend with a 9 mr has a catless invidia n1 and he took the resonators out. Its definatley louder than some stis catless... Mine was the most loud. I had the turboxs catless/no resonator turboback with the 4inch dp... WOW.. sounded euphoric. However.. it blew my motor with the COBB tuning AP stage 2 map... The map ran way tooo lean.. I was so angry. Had to pay to fix 2 pistons. It ran something like 14.7 AFR at full boost around 18 on the stage 2 map. Absolute disgrace software. They must must of made fixes to it by now... But hey... its evo time...
