MPG with low boost?
Watching your vacuum/boost is the key to gas mileage. Stay in vacuum and you will use less fuel ... period.
It sucks for me because i have to drive through the foothills on the way to work every day and have to stay right at "0" or in a little boost to make it over the hills. I still get about 240/tank with stop and go driving.
For those claiming 30 MPG, are you using 14.5 gal for a full tank or 12 gal? I've found that a lot of people calculate their mileage using a 12 gal tank because that's the number quoted often on the internet. US Evo's have a 14.5 gal tank, which equals 12 imp gal.
250 miles/tank = 17.2 MPG
300 miles/tank = 20.7 MPG
350 miles/tank = 24.1 MPG
400 miles/tank = 27.6 MPG

i think 30 is a bit much no? i used to get about 35 or so in my lancer (never exactly checked) but i wouldnt even imagine it could be that good... huh.
and Touring bubble, thats why i started this is cuz of what you go through, if you do driving like that to work or so and dont want/need the boost and dont want to worry about keeping it under can't you turn it down and get the same effect almost as if driving a regular lancer???? or at least eliminate boost, for the milage reasons

Why dont you use your mileage divided by how much fuel you just put into your car to fill it up? Lot more consistant with a smaller margin of error. Its also what SCC uses in their USCC tests.
I'm getting somewhere between 240(city)-290(highway) miles per tank on average. But I'm on craptastic NM 90 octane pee water at an average altitude of 4500 ft. The worst I've gotten was 20mpg, and that was a speed run to drive 230 miles in 2.5 hours.
when i got 36(posted earlier) I was trying to see the best gas mileage i could get. I filled up right next to the highway... coasted to the highway, drove about 80 miles without boosting at all... got off highway and filled up. Calculated the mileage.
Normally i get between 17 and 25 depending on my mood.

yeah i c what u did with evo scan. but can that program, while connected to your car, read how much fuel you are feeding to the engine, giving you your gas milage as you drive. my dads buick tells him his instantanious gas milage and its really nice

yeah i know what you mean. you can buy a kit for that actually which tells you how much MPG you are getting at any given time.
cant remember where it is though. but since i got nothing else better to do i will search for it

you could use this one if you have a garmin GPS in your car. it uses the GPS for distance traveled and tracks your fuel consumption
