Is G-tech Accurate

Last night i hooked my buddy's G-tech up to my car and it said that i ran

13.0 @ 117 mph

He ran 13.7@103

and he has a evo8 21psi exhaust and flash, and this was with both of us probably cutting a decent 60ft.

But 13.0@117 is retarded because i didnt spin so no idea. Geuss only a real track will work for me

You HAVE to dial in EXACT specs. It is accurate but alot of people complain about the MPH being the only thing a bit off. I have one and its very close. If the accelerometers are calibrated correctly and the specs are exact including driver weight and fuel it should be damn close.

From what I have found, the 60' times are off, but they are accurate for the most part.

I highly doubt i that was a 13.0@117, im just goint to assume my 1/4th is off by a whole point

I'll have to let him know we have to calibrate it to our cars, we just pluged it in and took off basically.

I mean for the fact of the matter i ran 12.9@106 "at a real track" before the swap with exhaust and 21psi on a Evo8 engine.

Id def chunk my car in the river if it was slower now lmao.

It depends on what g-tech you have. With the older models, you didn't have to do any calibration.

It was pretty old, was black, he said all I had to do was lvl it out to 0 and then when it says -- GO -- to just go whenever.

I'm just going to assume its either to old or really off lol, ill just wait for the new season opening in jan lol this G-tech thing just hurts my feelings

I do like the MPH though haha
