JDM Climate Control For USDM Evo
JDM Climate Control For USDM Evo
I did a bit of searching but couldn't really find this out, maybe someone can help. Does anyone know the cost and difficulty of putting the JDM climate control in a USDM Evo. In case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, it looks like this:

Why? Something different, and it looks better. As for cost, define high. I'm a baller. And as for difficulty, explain. Otherwise I think you don't know what you're talking about.
so far you don't know what your talking about
the entire system is motorized. if you want to be different get a Bimmer
you might have money... but you wouldnt buy a pos evo and want climate control.. you buy it to race cause its cheap and fast
any1 who considers themself a baller is a fool, and should put down the crack pipe....

Its going to be hard and expensive because as mentioned the USDM's Evo AC/heater controls are all mechanical (cable driven/moved) while the JDM is electrical (probably sends a signal to the ECU or the system has its own ECU and is then changed by a motor of some sort). So it would be hard and expensive to source out the parts from Japan as that is where you would have to get them all Im sure.
So what you need to do is make friends with a Japanese auto tech (i believe all auto techs in Japan have to have a 4 year degree in mechanical engineering, so anyone will do). Have him buy the parts and then have him fly out and install it for you. There you go baller!

Alright balla, here's a quote from Rich@Orbital who replied about this in another thread.
those controls are electronic, our controls are manual.
if you expect a conversion like that to work you better be prepared to spend easily over $1000.. and that is a conservative guess.
you'll need the unit itself, various temperature-sensing themostats & actuators, wire harnesses, most likely a different HVAC compressor, an OEM radio relocation kit, JDM wiring diagram, USDM wiring diagram, and of course a highly-specialized/experienced installer to handle the absolute nightmare of a splicing/custom-wiring job that this is going to take.
oh, and you'll also need an OEM mitsubishi 2-DIN bezel with or without and optional OEM mitsubishi 2-DIN overlay.
