whats the cheapest way for me to do this?

I am in iraq untill august and when i was home for the holidays i bought a 02 rsx daily driver so now my evo is going to be built. Im curious as to what you guys think would be my best and or cheapest route to go here are my options. I will be doing a 2.3 with a ams 35r kit i believe unless someone can convince me other wise.

1. Buy turbo kit and all engine internals and take them too a shop and say here you go.

2. Go to a shop and buy everything threw them and get them to install and do everything

3.pull motor myself send it to ams or bushur and when i get it back take it to a shop with a turbo kit i buy and get them to install it all.

Of course doing it all myself would be the cheapest but im scared i would mess something up so im not working on my car myself.

You will have 30 days leave when you get back. Contact AMS or Buschur or any other reputable builder and see if you can just drop your car off to them for a build during your block leave after deployment. That way you have plenty of time for a build.

HAHA

But seriously though, If your starting a sentence regarding a 35R and built motor with "what's the cheapest way to" I would rethink what your about to do. Sure you don't want to spend more than you have to , but going "cheap" is not the way to do a monster setup like that. Do it once and do it right.

PS come home safe

It's likely that you will get a better bottom line buying parts from the shop that does the labor.

But, I agree with the above ... "cheapest," "2.3" and "35R" don't really belong in the same sentence ... Drop the car off at AMS and let them handle everything. That will likely get you the best price on quality work.

#2,
More than likely they will give you a good price break on the parts if the same shop is doing the labor. I know dyno4mance does. They / we also do the tuning so it ends up being a one stop shop, much easier for you.

get a built 2.0 so you can have a high revving monster, get a full race kit minus the turbo and get the HTA 35 and do the work yourself and have it tuned by a reputable shop. Pulling a motor is a lil time consuming if you know what your doing but installing a turbo kit is easy as pie.
