Lancer Evolution III Intake Manifold
Lancer Evolution III Intake Manifold
Clearly, I'm from the DSM community. I have been able to get my little paws on a very rare piece. Click on this link to see the photos I posted up of the IM.
Now I'm looking for some comparison photos of the design of the Lancer Evo 8/9 intake manifolds. There is currently only one eBay ad that shows a couple photos of a stock Evo 8 IM. I'm looking for multiple photos from different angles to see similarities and differences (especially side shots). I'm only looking for shots of the IM itself (not installed or ported). Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I know. I'm not a noob.
I noticed that the 8s have the cathedral design. Good to know. Very interesting. I also noticed in this FS thread that three of the runners "lean" towards the mouth of the plenum. Also very interesting.

A little info on these upgrade intake manifolds for the DSM crowd:
'93-'94 RVR Hyper Sports Gear R intake manifold part number: MD187245 (52mm TB like 2G DSM)
EVO I, EVO II & '97 RVR Hyper Sports Gear R intake manifold part number: MD186461 (60mm TB)
EVO III intake manifold part number: MD324651*
*note= has secondary air supply port and four nipples, not really needed if installing on DSM as upgrade. The EVO I/II and '97 RVR Hyper Sports Gear R intake manifold is the same otherwise.
I run the MD186461 on my Talon.
