u have to realize that when u come onto a forum where everyone mostly has a passion for the car that u so dislike, u will get bitter responses. ppl from all walks of life buy these cars & enjoy them very much.

quite honestly it's not Mitsu's fault for poor customer service. look at the price point their cars fall into: $40k and BELOW. most ppl that buy Mitsu's really haven't been "spoiled" buy good customer service. for example when i get the Rover serviced, i get all kinds of free crap & the last time i got the oil changed i got free pizza!! not to mention during the warranty period i have FREE maintenance (like BMW). u also have to take into consideration that the luxury dealers will "bend over backwards" bcuz they want you to drop another $50, 60, or 100k+ on a newer car everytime u come in. can't kjnock the hustle tho.

granted u probly could have checked into the Lemon Law since based on ur family's cars u have access to unlimited resources. my car has had no mechanical problems whatsoever other than problems i inflicted.

on a sidenote, u could have investigated Mitsubishi PRIOR to accepting the car as a gift & if it was something u don't think u wanted the car could have went to another evom member who would gladly appreciate this limited production vehicle.

look at ur car in a different perspective- it's not made anymore which makes it a collector's item...

Well I had an STi before it, and honestly I wanted the car. The reason they bought it was because for the few weeks I had been without a car they saw it pictured as my background on my laptop, they asked what it was and the rest is history.

The reason for not getting another BMW, Audi, or other brand was due to the fact that the ones I had were keyed, scratched, and hit on campus. I just can't see spending that kind of money (whether myself or parents) for something to take that much abuse. I believe the lemon law applies to problems under 15k or 15 months, I had the car @ over 15k miles when the major problems kicked in. The clutch doesn't warrant a major problem; I did look into that possibility though.

I agree with the rest of the points you made. On a more musical note: what shows have you done in dc?

Wow, my 6-year-old has more common sense . Go look up what it costs to go to college for 4-years, and what the acceptable forms of payment are.
Here's a hint: M-O-N-E-Y, and lots of it
I do admire your comedic ignorance though.

You forgot connections too.

Ok the next person who posts a comment along the lines of "you suck", "you're retarded", "go suck a fat _" will get a 1 day ban instantly. I'm tired of this crap in here and I've already handed out two bans and another warning because of it.

I just wanted to thank the moderators for intervening. From what I was reading, it was more of a bash of emotions like a talk show. Please grow up and talk professionalism on the car forums. I was getting sick and tired of reading on and on about who has a better life than the other. This forum is not about status, but the passion for the evo. Please post the forum on yahoo or consumer reviews, not on here.

hahah, ah yes that is true. I won't mod it much though because I want my next car for a comfortable commute so the most it'll get is wheels, coilovers, and exhaust. Plus it's already fast enough and I want whoever I'm dating to be comfortable as well.

To the other guy who said I had no common-sense, if you re-read the thread I was thanking my parents for paying for college not putting them down. I'm very grateful for their help.

Get your car "fixed" and trade it in for a IX SE. Your experience isn't normal by far. Give the Evo another chance. You're gonna love it. Well, unless you can get your hands on a GT-R.

You should get that c63, it would look fresh on a set of deep dish chrome with black face. I'm considering a gt-r or even the vette zr-1 for a real sports car. Good luck with MR evo.
