I plan on running at the track and sometimes driving it on the road. What evo should i buy? Evo8 MR/Standard/Ra or Evo9 standard/MR/RS? Why would you get anything less than an Evo IX if you can afford it?

if i could do it all again, i'd get a IX SE...but, if you're going to go for more track time v. daily driving, RS (y choose comfort over pure racing!)

RS hands down, if you don't need the bling-bling.

IMO, if the car primarily will be used for track, then an RS model in any year will do just fine as u don't need to pay extra for things u will eventually remove such as wheels, nicer seats, wing, stereo, etc.

if it will be a street/track car than maybe a IX SE would work but i doubt i can find any left. i have found a few new '06 IX MR's & a couple '06 IX/SSL cars but that's about it...

there was a post up here w/ someone proclaiming that they bought the last se out there...but other posters were saying that dealers close to them (not sure from what region) said that they had some in stock (though not many)...

I just went through the same thing. I luckily stumbled on an SE before I knew what it even was, and the dealer still had it when I finally figured it out.
