Need help *maybe dumb question*

I noticed that I have a VIII block (with spun bearing) and a evo IX head sitting in my garage. I have been thinking of putting an LS1 into an SC300 just for a fun project drift car.

I figure I can have the block repaired and put the head on. Get a stand alone adn wiring harness and drop it into a rwd car and just play wiht that for a while. I was going to do a 240 but I don't want to play the transverse game into an engine bay that won't welcome it... So heres my question:

What cars/shells are my options to drop this motor into?

Your selection is limited only by your own technical ingenuity and/or the depth of your pocket book.

I've seen a 4G63 in a FD RX7, so I guess anything is possible. IIRC, the Evo 4G63 doesn't even drop straight in to the other Mitsu cars, so custom work will definitely be required for any swap.

Question though ... what work will need to be done to mate the IX head to the VIII motor? Aren't the cooling passages different?

Will the IX head work with the 8 block? I would assume another oil galley(ise) will be needed for the mivec to work.
