Looking for a little help here. My car was hit on the drivers front a month ago. I have 2004 Evo VIII HID housings with ballasts and bulbs and a wiring kit (my car is an '05 w/o the SSL). I'm looking to get a new drivers side housing, but figured I could get a set of JDM MR Housings (to match my tails), but since the ballast was damaged, I'd have to get a new HID kit too.

What HID kit would I get to make this setup work? Can I just get a Xenon Depot Kit and get this working or do I need to get a different type of setup? Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You do realize that the hid cutoff's in the jdm housings are "backwards" compared to the US models, right? I would think that'd be annoying as hell in itself, but maybe that's just me.

 

I agree. The problem is I cant find any USDM housings for that price. Anyway you can point me in the right direction?

I'm trying to get in touch with evodave to see if he has a set of blacked out USDM headlights he can sell.

I did find out alot of information (just spent the last 3 hrs searching), but nothing that specifically said "you need this type/size kit to fit the JDM HID housings" and nothing regarding the USDM HID housings as well.

Both the jdm housing and the usdm housing use the d2s bulbs, ballast doesn't matter but I would try to stay with oem becuase they are a lot better quality than most kits.
