Tuning checklist
Tuning checklist
I am having my car tuned tonight. This is my DD and I have a drag car other than this that I sit in the garage. I will not be racing the EVO, besides maybe a pass or 2 at the track and who can have too much power on the road? What I am looking for in the tune is as much power as possible as well as very low knock, good fuel mileage, safe fuel shut off, safe AFR and engine longevity (120K miles +). My setup is manifold, )2, DP, TP, Catback, Walbro FP, Injen intake, UICP, LICP, MBC and I have new stoip plugs and one step colder plugs I am taking to him. This is an IX.
I plan on asking him to leave the knock control on in the car. Should I do this?
Good AFR?
Acceptable knock count?
Safe fuel shut off point?
Safe boost on 93 pump.
Anything else I should be checking on as well?
I want peace of mind that I can drive spirited and still maintain longevity of the engine with thorough maintenance. I wouldn't have changed anything at all, but who can turn down 100hp for under $2K?
Thanks a lot guys!

Man i dont want any counts of knock if i can do anything about it........its good to know when it does knock though the ecu pulls the timing and (or) fuel automatically............the engine will last as long as you take care of it.
