Mine looked a lil pink but thats normal. the shade depends on the light wen u take the pic. I also changed my rear badge to a red diamond star and it did make them look darker than with the chrome badge but that could jus of been me.

They always seemed super pink to me, its why I never liked em. I guess other people think otherwise.

What i dont really understand is, why do they make 10,000 after market taillights for Accord/Civic/xB/xC or any other ricers...but not even one for the EVO

 

^Evo Dave can custom color your tails any color you want... the reason they dont make aftermarket one's for the evo is because they come stock with ricer altezza's....unless thats what you like

I always thought the VII's looked a little pink in some pics but then in other they looked red. My problem is that I don't want to get rid of anything original on the car or permanently mod anything stock just in case I ever sell it.

 

Evo 8 tail lights are cheap. Just buy a pair of them on here in the For Sale section and send them to EvoDave to have them modified the way you want them. Plus, it's an extra selling point. "What's that? You mean you really like my car but you can't stand the clear tail lights? No problem, I've also got these custom painted ones that I can throw in with the car if you decide to buy it."

 

The got him? What do you mean? Do you mean that Mitsubishi got him by making pink lights that he bought thinking they were going to be red or do you mean that someone sold him "fake Evo 7" tail lights and he didn't notice. If it's the second, I think you're smoking crack. People who buy them generally know the difference, and that's why they go with the "fake" ones to avoid the pink look.

 

Mine are real VII tails and they arent pink.

 

I agree, under certain lighting conditions, the Evo 7 tails don't look pink. However, as you can see in these 2 pics that you posted in another thread, your lights indeed do look pink when light is shining on them:

Red or pink is a matter of opinion and lighting, end of the day I like the way it looks and its a Mitsu factory replacement and IMHO it flat out looks better than any stock altezza, be it my stock MR black housing or clear. Altezza's only belong on 1 car and thats the original Toyota AkA Lexus. But wha ever floats ur boat, u make the payments u make the decision

 

OP--I think you should've just stuck with your standard IX tails. They were fine.

Your the one smoking crack by some how thinking I was refering to Mitsubishi getting him by making the lights pink. He was "got" by whoever sold him the "VII" tails since one had the "pink" inner edge that gets covered by the trunk and the other is clearly black. OBVIOUSLY he didnt know the difference, so here is proof the "generally" people dont know the difference. BTW all the true VII's I have ever seen arent pink
