So i got pulled over today for the first time for my exhaust. I have a Turbosx turbo back with test pipe. I've had it for about 19 months now without any problems. To make a long story short he let me go. No ticket or written warning. I was surprized. I have a theory though. I was driving on a road where a highschool is located so i'm guessing that he thought i was some highschool kid. He was a bit unfriendly at first when he aproached me but later was really cool so that kinda reinforces my theory. Moral of the story..... Be nice a polite sometimes it pays off.

 

Were you running a test pipe? My buddy's RX7 has one and I can literally hear the thing half a mile away. lol

 

i got pulled over twice in my lifetime for exhaust, once in a crx, just got a 40 dollar ticket...onece in evo..just got warning

I have the AMS tbe with test and I was in stop and go freeway traffic with an NHP right next to me WITH HIS WINDOW DOWN! I thought for sure I was gonna get pulled over...thank god for bog and neutral rolling haha

 

I didnt think nj was too bad with the pulling of for exhaust. I guess if i see a cop i should close the cut out then :/

 

yeah i'm running a test pipe but imo it's pretty quiet or maybe im just use to it by now. i live in a really small town less than a square mile and i haven't had any problems there... maye because they kinda know me that i live in town???

 

I have a buscher TBE w/test pipe for a couple months and still havent gotten pulled over knock on wood

i have tanabe g blue with cat, got pulled over and the cop threaten me saying every time he sees me he will pull me over and give me a ticket.

 

damn..i need to move to NJ i just got pulled over 2 weeks ago .i got profiled as a streetracer coz of my exhaust' popo check my driving records it came out clean. he told me 'get out the car' padded me down. he tell me to pop my hood . the worst scenario'i done nutting wrong. got a ticket for modified emission

 

i got pulled over 4 times for exhaust, once in my fd, and 3 times in my evo.

 

they were profiling, and profiling is wrong! but the ironic thing is out of the 3 times i got pulled over in the evo, it was rite after i wood take my wing off. never got bothered when i had my wing on.

 

Yeah, profiling is not PC. But laws doesn't eliminate prejudice.
