so i was lookin at my relocation kit after i disconnect the battery it tells me to disconnect the cables(positive/negative for the battery) from the solenoid...so its kind of looking like i dont have to use this


because the clamps on the wires they gave me look like this

so my question is...is this right...should i just not use that peice in the fist pic or what

 

where did you get your kit? My engine bay looks like the first picture. There are more than just the battery cable in that bundle. I just took off the battery terminal part and bolted the new cable to it (as shown) and ran the cable through the firewall, inside cabin and then to the trunk
