IC selection

I am going for a bigger fmic.
I have two options to choose from;
a) AMS race fmic
b) BR race fmic

Currently, I am running stock turbo, but will upgrade to +35R soon.
And is it ok to run bigger fmic on stock turbo or will face any issues due to large dia pipes on stock turbo? Any pressure drop or something?

Any suggestions?

You'll be fine running a larger FMIC on the stock turbo. I know plenty of people doing it.

Deciding between AMS or Buschur is really a toss up IMO. The AMS unit fits better with the stock piping (but you're upgrading yours, yes?) but the Buschur has less bends which means smoother air flow. I think both are great and are larger than you'll ever need.

The stock turbo will run fine with a big FMIC such as our race core. At one time there were 5 of us here running the stock turbo with our race FMIC. Had nothing but great results with it and MANY customers still run that setup today as well.

I didnt see where the OP mentioned anything about running stock IC piping.

Please feel free to let me know if there is anything I can help with. I'll be glad to lend a hand.

I think you should add ETS to your list.

I will be running upper/lower pipes that I buy with fmic, no stock pipes.
I've seen your piping size. Is 2.5" sized dia sufficient to pass through high flows?
Do I retain stock water sprayers if I go with BR race fmic

I just commented on the piping because the gentleman who first posted said something about stock fitment and I didnt even see where that came in and was mentioned.

Yes 2.5" will provide enough air flow. David's Evo RS run's 9's with our standard upper and lower IC piping.

With our race FMIC you will lose the IC sprayer. With a good IC you shouldnt have to really worry about spraying it to be honest. All of us who own Evo's here run the race FMIC including the 2 9 second daily drivers that are here, our 8 second drag car, a low 10second daily driver and my car ran high 10's.

We sell ALOT of the race FMIC's with nothing but good things being said about them.

Jarrod, can the buschur race fmic fit the 9 bumper and still retain the crash beam?

Yes it can but you may need to do some trimming. Some have gotten it to pop right in place even though it being snug it still fit. Others who are interested in keeping the crash beam just do some slight grinding on the inside of it for it to fit. I guess it just all depends on who installs it or what the difference is on the factory beam.

I also think you should add ETS to your list. I just installed mine about a week and a half ago and have no complaints at all. Plus it is easier on the wallet ! Here's some pics from my install:
