Blue By You ?
Here is what I came up with. This of course is not 100% accurate. If those numbers posted before are true, then there are aprox 21,375 Evos in the U.S. out of that, IF an evenly amount of each color was made, which was not the case, then there would be 1446 BBY Evo's in the U.S (they were made in 03 and 04). Also, IF an equal amount of BBY's were in each state, which once again is not the case, then there would be roughly 29 BBY Evo's per state, which isnt even enough to cover 1per city/large town in most states. Now comes the sad part, we also have to calculate the amount of wrecked BBY's that may have occured over the last 5 years or so. I would take a shot in the dark and say this would get us down to around 25 remaining per state.
Now keep in mind these calculations would be considering that an even amount of each color was made and an even amount were distributed to each state and an even amount wrecked in each state. Now from my personal experience, I see a ton of silver, black, and white Evos. I see a fair amount of red and then very few yellow and blue. So just for the rarity factor, lets say they made half the amount of BBY and LY Evos as previously stated and added to the Black, White, Silver, and Red Evos remaining(not wrecked) we see on the streets. So that would make it around 12 BBY's per state (roughly) and if we added that to only 1 color (lets say silver) that would make 37 Silver per state(03 04 models only) So that would be 1 BBY for Every 3 Silver Evos in 03/04. (keep in mind from my guess on production it would be 1 for every 4, but after wrecks, etc this is what i came up with as far as what we see on the street)
From my experience that actually sounds about right. Keep in mind, this doesnt even account for the 05 and 06 Evos that also share the other colors.
Before anyone comes back and tells me what a load of BS this is and how its inaccurate. Your right, it probably is, but nobody else wanted to take a shot at it so I did. I used the numbers previously posted of production, calculated each step by a complete guess of production per color, and then added my own rarity factor of what I assume it may have been. This is in no way fact, I just did my own calculations. Let me know if you guys think its close.

Thats pretty cool, probably isnt all that inaccurate. Cool to think that I am one of the lucky few with a BBY. I loved my car when I got it and it was awesome cause it was so easy to find. I just walk out from the walmart and look for a giant blue wing
Im glad to be one of the very few bby's in Texas
ive seen 6 and i drive all over texas from dallas austin waco houston and corpus
2 of them are wrecked now. These are a dying breed lol
Why not lol

I hope its close to accurate, but I just pieced together what I could with the provided information. If I could get some sort of a solid color ratio or actual numbers produced in that color, I could ALMOST get an exact amount of the remaining BBY's.As for the easy to find part, ya thats one of my favorite parts, plus its fun to see all the heads that it turns, lol.

I bet the numbers for BBY are probably rarer than that aswell. I'll be honest I've only just found out that they even made BBY rather than EB. lol... I have the EB IX, but its not called Eb its called 'Mica Blue' on the official forms, anyone else's called mica blue? this a european spec car by the way
I dont believe the SSL was released until 05, correct me if I am wrong. I think the sunroof was an additional feature but not an actual SSL package.
Exactly, its the best estimate I can come up with given the information provided.
Its quite possible that the BBY is more rare, but there is no telling without getting actual production numbers. You also have to realize that since they are not evenly distributed there are more in some locations than others. For instance I know of 4 BBY's in my area in say a 10 mile radius. That is alot more than most members here are claiming to have ever seen around them. So imagine that there are 4 that I know about, how many are there around here that I dont know about? You also have to realize that many people have these as garage queens (all Evos, not just BBY) and almost never take them on the street. My point is this, if there are 4 within my area, who says there arent 4 more in a 20 mile radius around me, or even 50 in the state? Ive driven out in the middle of nowhere before and randomly saw an Evo in the driveway of a farm.... almost no civilization for miles, but there it was parked there, and Im sure almost nobody knows that one exhists.
Ive never heard EB referred to as Mica Blue, but its possible that Euro production models decided to give it a different name.
Like you said its a guess more than anything but you were willing to take a shot at it so

bump for a bby owner. i put a lot of miles on mine (i'm at 106k) now and i've only seen a few other bby's. the yellow was rare also but those who i have spoken to desire the bby color a lot more than they do the yellow. i had a buddy that had a yellow but he just sold it a few months ago.
