Hello everyone.. Just got my first evo.. An evo8 2003 I love da way it feels and how much power it produces stock... its really stock wid only and tb exhaust and hks bov. The problem is when im shifting from 3rd g to 4th g or 4th g to 5th g its seems to over boost and hold it and its hard for me to shift to other gears.. Like all I hear is thr bov going when im tryin to shift...is this from the clutch or the tranny please help..

Your BOV will make noises between shifts, that what they do. As far as the rest of what your saying I'm confused, could you be more clear as to what the problem is? What makes you think you have an over boost problem? Did you through a code?
BTW, get rid of that HKS BOV, find a metal IX DV and replace it with that.

 

you need to ditch that BOV and put a stocker back on
