Makes you wonder if they just had a huge backstock of WickedWhite lips.

 

Nope...this is typical Mitsubishi. For example -- door handles on 2g Eclipse, Talon & Avenger are junk and break...they come in white too. Most parts do. I cant tell you the reason. Someone in the production say so likes white I guess.
