clean battery replacement/upgrade placing

Hey guys,

Have any of you replaced your current battery with an after market one? I've got a new optima type battery for my car but the posts on it are in the middle of the battery and the stock connections were meant to work with posts which are close to the edge of the battery. Anyone whom has upgraded to such a battery and figured out a cleen install, please chime in. Thanks.

Yes, thats an insightful comment, but this is the only ones that my autostore offered and I didn't notice the post locations at first being a crucial element.

Can't you go back and exchange it? Optima batteries don't last long and so are my friend's. I stick with regular battery now, cheap and reliable.

Yeah I hear you on that. I actually got this battery as a warantee on my optima that which had died, which I've used in my dsm. It's a heavy duty battery which murrays carries now instead of the optima.
