Good - you have 2 options for your next step.
Drain and fill with fresh fluid or simply fill up. I would drain and refill and allow any metal to drain with the fluid.

I run about .6qts Motul Competition ff in my rear diff and have had no problems - It's expensive for a fluid but cheap for an insurance policy

Everyone has their $.02 on diff fluid - there is plenty of opinions to find in searching.

If the problem persists after that, I would try to best isolate the problem so you don't spend uneccesary dollars.

Well VIP is saying that my T-case was leaking fluid bad but i never noticed anything. they drained and refilled all the fluids and said that its better but he wants to run it again and check it out again to see for anything else. I just don't understand how the T-case would cause the rear diff to lock up.
