Need help identifying this part...

Found this on my freaking fuel rail today...have no clue how it got there or where it came from or what its for. Could very well be from another when i was at my buddys shop, any help is appreciated

its marked... 6 MD747413

easy way to do it is to take it to the mitsubishi dealer or just call them and ask them to identify the part by giving them the number on it, it looks like the part number

wow that looks just like something off the transmission...

Scroll down to #19 and click on the 2nd picture (look at the left of the picture about half way up) ... I'm pretty sure its that, or something that looks really similar.

it appears to be a gromet of some sort.

yeah looks like its the grommet for the shift fork from the tranny!

exactly! thats what it is!! I couldn't think of the name for it so i had to post the link! But how the heck did it get off?? theres no way unless you dropped the transmission right?

Just had to have his clutch slave cylinder off for that little dust boot to be removed,But Why?

the clutch was replaced by previous owner about 5k miles ago...am i putting my car at jeapordy but not having this piece in???? man im pretty pissed

also it had the 30k mile service 3k miles ago

not really going to hurt anything not having it there..... just unbold ur slave cylender and slid it back on the fork lever into its hole. 2 12mm bolts simple enought if u dont have ur stock airbox in ur way
