stealership once again

So i need a new clutch and i had some offers from local mechanics for aftermarket clutchs. I go to mitsu this morning at 8 because they said they do it today and i knew it was a full day process. So i dopr it off expecting to get it tonight. They call me and tell me it wont be done till next thursday and they want $2300 for it. WTF!! So im having a tow truck get it and drop it off at this other place whos doing it for $1000 less....i hate mitsu seerrrvviiiicee

I got my clutch replaced for 400 bucks in labor, with parts coming out to 550 (act clutch and flywheel) from an online vender here.

Exactly. Where was your written quote before they even started? I always tell them if the price is going to exceed the written quote to call me before they start turning any wrenches.

$2300!? That's insane! You could get an Exedy twin AND labour.

+1 with the ACT. That's most likely what I'll get when my stocker dies. I'm at 26K now with no slipping.
