will mitsu dealerships report a catless evo to the dmv?

Obviously, this is going to vary depending on the dealership in question, but I just bought a catless VIII and plan on taking it to the local Mitsu dealer for oil changes, maintenance, etc. I don't live in a part of VA that tests for emissions, thank god, but I'm wondering if there's a high likelihood that the service techs might report me to the DMV for running catless. Anyone have experience in this area?

I highly doubt they'd go to the trouble. I have many friends who run completely catless and still have dealer do work on their vehicles. All depends on the dealer, but I don't think you'll get ratted on about your lack of emissions devices.

This is what makes me love Tennessee. Man, in my area everything is so easy going with nothing to worry about.

I'd say you'll be fine. Good luck

I'm moving to Murfreesboro, TN soon actually! It's my home state. Here in GA, they don't really care as much about emissions. My buddy with a 350Z installed an exhaust with test pipes. He passed emissions with them ON! It was just an OBDII check. If you fail it, you can come back again within a month or so for free.

No way. They dont care. At worst they make a mental note if you blew up the tranny, transfer case or motor so they would use it against you to void the warranty. But i even doubt that

Because VA is kind of a dick about things like emissions, etc. I'd rather err on the side of caution and ask ahead of time and hopefully avoid getting hit with some kind of emissions violation fee from the DMV.
