From pony car to evo...
Well after having 4 camaro/firebirds (95, 97, 99, 02) and an e30 m3, i've gone japanese and i've gone evo.
Yup a nice red shiny evo... and it kicks ***.
Believe it or not, I showed up yesterday at my weekly camaro meet, albeit a bit nervous, and I got great respect for the car and some wows and cool and you're gonna smoke us soon.
I still miss the relentless torque of the v8, but that striking woosh sound from the turbo, and the slingshot effect of the car just puts a nice grin on my face.
Can't wait to hit the locals tracks in california (thunderhill, infineon, buttonwillow, and laguna seca) here I come...
I think we're very fortunate to have such a great handling/performance car at such a smokin value.
Enjoy it guys!

Most American car guys, or any real car guys respect a fast and capable car and that perfectly describes the EVO. Our car is one of the Elite few of the Japanese supercars that actually came over. Now about those civics...
Well I've been yapping about the car to my friends for two months now, so now they have the real deal.
Yes camaro guys are pretty serious racers, and monster HP buffs, so it's a good feeling that I'm still part of the crowd. But most serious car enthusiasts will respect the car like you said.
I'm in norcal... in the sf bay area. thanks dudes for the welcome!
