Dump valve, diverter valve, or as some refer to it, the blow-off valve. HTH.

duh thank you def a brain fart
im trying to figure out why i cant control my boost.
mbc hold 15 to 5500 then creeps to 20, then just keeps going.
i cant seem to keep it low enough to get to redline without overboosting

What if: instead of tapping the DV line for an MBC, use the turbo nipple for boost source? IMO, it is the best method.

Are you installing a boost gauge? If so, then you should "T" into the fuel pressure regulator line. Or, are you doing an MBC install? If the later is the case, then you should "T" into either the line that runs between the diverter valve and the intake manifold, or else connect to the nipple on the compressor housing discharge tube.

Which install method did you use for the MBC?

removed line from hot side to wastegate. capped the hotside. then ran line from wastegate to a tee in the blow off line with the mbc in the middle. . . . . .now the flow should be coming from the intake dowm to the wastegate.
