Is This Car Too Good To Be True?
Price really can't be an indicator of whether or not it is legit being there is a reserve set on the auction, and the sticker on the rear really doesn't mean anything.
I just don't have it in me to buy a car on ebay that isn't being sold locally.
I need to see it in person before I put any money down on a car.
Too impersonal on ebay.

Try to make contact with the person selling the vehicle. Get their name, address and phone number and ran a check to make sure they are ledgit. Best yet, if you're really interested and live close, go and see the car for yourself.
Just ask the seller what the reserve is. Most of the time they will tell you. Also have someone go look at the car locally (I know you are in MA and the car is in CA). Maybe someone on the forums would go look at it for you. There are plenty of members in Cali. You can also have the seller take it to a dealership of your choosing and you could talk to the mechanic. These inspections cost $100 or so but well worth it if you are truely interested in the car. Good luck on your searching.
BTW, I have purchased vehicles off ebay before and if you do your homework, it can be a great deal.
